Your level of detail amazes me! It's all so...so perfect :D

The shine is why I don't use graphite. It used to plague me with my scanner, too.
Absolutely gorgeous job on it...wow :faint:
looks exactly like him

Great depth and realism. Too bad the camera didn't pick up your whole tonal range and killed it on the left.

This is beautifully done, you've got some excellent attention to detail and texture going on!! I'm working on a graphite portrait of Walken too :D In the past I have noticed that when you get heavily involved in the 6B-9B area you get a TON of shine. I had a bit of luck when I took one of my drawings to a photographer friend. She got the best results when she lit it with a soft box from one side, so that the light skimmed across the artwork. I hope that helps a little :)

Thanks for that. I know I have to try some different approaches to getting better pictures because otherwise it will happen again and again. The soft box is a great idea. I should be able knock one up when I get time and I am also hoping to get a decent camera too. Thanks again for your help it's much appreciated. :D
